Overview

Central Oregon Community College or COCC was established on 1949, and is a community school situated in Bend, Oregon. The first classes were held in the basement of the Bend High School. The campus includes 21 buildings, and is spread across more than 200 acres.

COCC offers 2-year associate degrees, professional technical degrees, developmental courses, certificates, and various transfer/lower division programs. As of the 2006 - 07 record, a total of over 15,000 students were enrolled in the college; more than 7,000 in credit classes and over 9,000 in non-credit classes.

Central Oregon Community College has an active student life, with several well-known clubs and organizations. COCC also has baseball, volleyball, basketball, soccer, golf, cycling and indoor soccer sports teams.
