Overview

Cerritos College is a public, comprehensive, two-year, community college located in Norwalk, California, United States. It was founded in 1955 and named after Rancho Los Cerritos, a ranch that served the region in the 19th century. Cerritos College offers degrees and certificates in more than 80 areas of study in over 8 divisions.

The student body of the college includes a majority of students from Latin America and many from Asian countries. The Cerritos College International Student Center (ISC) admits F-1 students in accordance with college policy and USCIS regulations. It provides immigration advising, academic counseling, and attentive support services to the international students.

Cerritos College owns a student-run radio station, WPMD. There are also many students clubs and organizations within the college. The mascot of Cerritos is the Falcon. The sports teams compete in the South Coast Conference.
