Overview

Chadron State College, also known as CSC, is located in Chadron, Nebraska, United States. It was established by the Nebraska Legislature in June 1911. Joseph Sparks was the college's first president. CSC boasts of an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students per semester. The campus spreads across an area of more than 280 acres and comprises of approximately 25 major buildings including 5 residence halls. In fact, 5 major buildings of CSC are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. CSC is made up of the following academic units:

  • School of Business, Economics, Applied & Mathematical Sciences
  • School of Counseling, Education, Human Performance, Psychology, Social Work
  • Schools of Graduate Studies

There are several student-run organizations at CSC including the Accounting Club, Campus Historical Forum, Chess Club, Council for Exceptional Children, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Professions Club, HYPER Majors Club, Legal Studies Club, International Club, and Omega Phi Rho.

Room and Board

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference for major sports.
