Overview

Chattahoochee Valley Community College, also known as CVCC, is located in Phenix City, Alabama, United States, and is situated beside the banks of the Chattahoochee River. It was established in 1973. The college opened its doors in January 1974 and moved to its present location in 1976. Presently, more than 2,000 students are enrolled in the Phenix City campus. CVCC offers a number of degree and certificate programs and is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • Division of Business Computer and Social Sciences
  • Health Sciences Division
  • Language and Fine Arts Division
  • Mathematics and Science Division

CVCC's sports teams are known as the Pirates and Lady Pirates. They are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association and compete in the Alabama Junior and Community College Conference. The sports teams include baseball, men’s and women's basketball, and women’s fastpitch softball.
