Overview
Cheyney University of Pennsylvania is located in Cheyney, Pennsylvania, United States. It was established in the year 1837. The campus spreads over an area of more than 270 acres. The university's original name was the Institute for Colored Youth. Richard Humphreys, a Quaker philanthropist, played an important role in its establishment. Students are offered degree programs in various areas of study including business administration, communications, and fine arts. The two schools of the university are:
