The Church Divinity School of the Pacific was established in 1893 by Rt. Rev. William Ford Nichols, the second Episcopal Bishop of California. It was originally located in San Mateo, California, but moved to its present location in Berkeley, California in 1911. It is one of the eleven seminaries of Episcopal Church in the US. The school is a member of Graduate Theological Union. It offers a wide variety of degree and certificate programs in theological studies, divinity, Christian ministry and Anglican studies.
The Church Divinity School of the Pacific offers several organizations to its students, including the Graduate Theological Union, the Celtic Cross, the Community Council and Koinonia. Eligible students can apply for financial aid such as federal grants, institutional grants, subsidized and unsubsidized student loans and veteran’s educational benefits.
