City College Fort Lauderdale is one of the three campuses of City College, established in 1984. Initially, City College was known as Draughon’s College of Business. The Fort Lauderdale campus is a private, four-year co-educational college, which offers associate’s and bachelor’s degrees to students. Students at the Fort Lauderdale campus can choose from a wide range of courses, including medical assistance, nursing, broadcasting, accounting and management, among others.
City College Fort Lauderdale offers a number of loans and scholarships, like the Richard W. Skidmore Scholarship, to its students. The college publishes an online newsletter, known as the City Spotlight. The campus has a career placement center designed to assist graduates earn jobs after graduation.
