Harold Washington College is a two-year community college located in Chicago, Illinois. It was founded in 1962 as Loop College. It's current name is in honor of the first African American mayor of Chicago, Harold Washington. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. It also provides transfer assistance to local four-year colleges and universities.
HWC’s campus is home to several student clubs and organizations. Some of them are Alpha Phi Omega, the Criminal Justice Club, Friendship Union Club and the Organization of Latin American Students.
