Overview

Harry S. Truman College was established in 1956 as an evening college at Amundsen High School. It was named Mayfair College in 1961 and enrolled 4,000 students. In 1976, the college moved to its present campus and adopted the current name. It was named after U.S. President Harry S. Truman. The college is also known as Truman College and has a number of degree and certificate programs. Truman College also offers a learning center in the Lakeview neighborhood.
