Overview

Malcolm X College is a two-year college located in Chicago, Illinois. It was established as Crane Junior College in 1911. It is a member of the City Colleges of Chicago. The college was renamed in 1969 after civil rights advocate and orator Malcolm X. It offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. The education programs of Malcolm X College lay emphasis on adult education and continuing education.

Malcolm X fields both men’s and women’s collegiate sports. The college also hosts more than 1,000 meetings and community events every year. The Malcolm Xpress, is the award-winning, student run newspaper of the college. The campus of the college is also home to several student clubs and organizations.
