Overview

Wilbur Wright College was founded in 1934 as Wright Junior College by the Chicago Board of Education. The college became part of the City Colleges of Chicago system in 1966. It offers numerous two-year associate degrees and certificate programs. Some of the academic departments of Wilbur Wright College are humanities and foreign language, environmental technology, physical science, and computer information systems.

The students of Wilbur Wright College run a variety of organizations and clubs including the Future Teachers of Chicago, Phi Theta Kappa, Society for Hispanic Engineers, Radiography Club, Latino American Student Association, History Club, Students for Peace and Justice, Music Club, and many more.

The sports teams of Wilbur Wright College are known as The Rams and compete in the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Division II. The men’s and women’s teams include basketball and wrestling.
