Overview

Clark Atlanta University, also nicknamed as CAU, was established on July 1st, 1988. CAU was originally created as Atlanta University in 1865. After several name and status changes, it was given its present name. Located in Atlanta, Georgia, the main campus includes more than 30 buildings and sits on more than 125 acres. It enrolls more than 4,500 students annually and is the oldest Graduate institution in the state providing learning opportunities mostly to the African-American students. The university is comprised of the following schools and colleges:

CAU is home to a number of recognized clubs and organizations which includes Kappa Psi, Phi Mu and Sigma Alpha Iota.
