Overview

Clark State Community College, also known as Clark State, is a community college located in Springfield, Ohio, United States. It was originally established in 1962 as the Springfield and Clark County Technical Education Program. On July 1, 1988, the Ohio Board of Regents decided to rename it Clark State Community College. The college offers Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees and nearly 30 Technical Associate degrees and certificates. Clark State also offers online degrees and programs.

Clark State has an active student life. There are several on-campus clubs and organizations including Phi Theta Kappa, which is the honor society, Creative Writing Club, Chess Club, and Student Nurses' Association. The student-run college newspaperis called the "Campus Chronicle."
