Overview
Coastal Carolina University is an independent, state-supported university located in Conway, South Carolina. It was established in 1954. The main campus consists of more than 50 buildings and is spread across an area of over 300 acres. CCU is one of the nation's few sea grant colleges, which are a part of the National Sea Grant College Program. CCU offers undergraduate degrees in over 30 fields. It also offers masters degree programs in diverse areas of study. It is organized into the following academic units:

- Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts
CCU enrolls more than 7,500 students annually. The student body includes a high number of international students, who represent more than 30 countries.
