Overview
Coe College is a private, four-year, liberal arts college in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was founded in 1851 as The School for the Prophets. It offers more than 40 majors in various fields including Accounting, African-American Studies, American Studies, Art, Asian Studies, Athletic Training and Biochemistry. The college awards both undergraduate and graduate degrees in several subjects. U.S. News & World Report ranked Coe College 98th among other national liberal arts colleges in "America's Best Colleges" publication (2009). The department of Music in Coe College is famous for its excellence in the course offered.
