Overview

Cogswell Polytechnical College, often referred to as Cogswell, is a privately-run, co-educational, not-for-profit college in Sunnyvale, California. Founded on March 19, 1887 classes began in August 1888. At the time, it was a high school that offered business classes to girls and technical classes to boys. The status of the institute changed on June 30, 1930 to that of a technical college.

Cogswell Polytechnical College is well known for the programs it offers in digital arts, fire science and engineering.

There are a number of student organizations and clubs located on college campus, including the Game Development Club, the Web Design Club, and the Associated Student Body.
