Overview

Coker College was founded by Major James Lide Coker as the Welsh Neck High School in 1894. The Coker College for Women was created in 1908. Coker College officially became co-educational in 1969. It is located in Hartsville, South Carolina. Students are offered degrees and certificates in different areas of study, including art education, criminology, business administration, medical technology, elementary education and sports management.

Students at Coker College are involved in several clubs and organizations, including the Student Government Association, Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Sigma Iota, International Student Organization, Campus Crusade for Christ and Art Club. In addition, students participate in intramural and intercollegiate sports like basketball, cross country, golf and tennis.

Athletics
