Overview
Colby College is located in Waterville, Maine, United States. It was established in 1813 as the Maine Literary and Theological Institution. In 1821, the institute was renamed Waterville College. The college campus spreads across an area of approximately 700 acres. More than 1,500 students, representing more than 60 countries, enroll in the college annually. Colby College has over 20 departments and offers students more than 50 major programs of study.
Colby College has more than 90 clubs and organizations for the overall development of the students. These include the Rotaract Club, Colby Volunteer Center (CVC), Student Health on Campus (SHOC), and Colby Emergency Response (CER).
Colby College fields more than 30 varsity teams and has more than 5 intramural leagues, 11 club teams, and many special intramural competitions.
