College Of Marin

The College of Marin was founded in 1926 as the Marin Junior College. It adopted its present name in 1947. The college has two campuses, one in Kentfield, California and another in the City of Novato. The Kentfield campus encompasses more than 20 acres. The college has around 70 degree programs and more than 30 two-year vocational and career programs.

There are several student organizations and clubs at COM. Some of these are the Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society, Black Student Union, Artist Honor Society, Environmental Landscape Club, the Land Sustainability Club, Internet Radio Club, Cinema League, Drama Club, Muslim student Association, Rock Climbing Club, Math and Science Club and the Student Nurses Association.

COM is a member of the Bay Valley Conference. Its athletic teams are nicknamed the Mariners and participate in a wide variety of sports like soccer, water polo, football, basketball, track and field, baseball and swimming & diving.
