Overview

The College of Southern Maryland is a public, regional community college located in La Plata, Maryland. It was established on September 1, 1958. The college operates campuses and training centers in St. Mary's County, Charles County and Calvert County. CSM offers more than 120 programs of study, including Associate of Science, Associate of Arts and Associate of Applied Science degree programs. It also offers several continuing education certificates and career training programs.

CSM’s campus is home to several student clubs and organizations, which include BACCHUS Peer Education Network, International Club, Phi Beta Lambda - Alpha Pi Chapter and Phi Theta Kappa. The college also fields several men’s and women’s intercollegiate teams, which participate in the NCJAA,Division III.
