Overview
College of the Marshall Islands, CMI, is located in Majuro, Marshall Island. CMI, which came into official existence on October 10, 1989, was originally known as The community college. It was given its present name in January 1991. CMI offers associate degree programs in business and information technology, liberal arts & sciences, nursing, and elementary education. It also provides student development, community extension, high school equivalency, and certificate programs.
The students of College of the Marshall Islands participate in various events and activities which aid their academic and social development.
The intramural recreation program at CMI offers an opportunity for students to participate in various team activities. Intramural competitions include volleyball and basketball. The CMI library has more than 10,000 books that have been selected for general information, courses, and reading enjoyment.
