Overview
The College of William & Mary is a public research university located in Williamsburg, Virginia. It was established in 1693 by a Royal Charter issued by King William III and Queen Mary II. It is the second oldest institution of higher education in the United States. W&M’s campus is spread across an area of 1,200 acres. The college offers more than 1,400 undergraduate, 400 masters, 50 doctoral, and 200 professional degrees in diverse areas of study. It is organized into the following academic units:
