Overview

Colorado School of Mines, also referred to as CSM, is located in the town of Golden, Colorado. This public college was established in 1873 by the Episcopal Church. In 1876, when Colorado attained statehood, the college also became a state institution. Annualy, the college enrolls more than 4,000 students. The campus is spread over more than 370 acres. The students of the college are offered various degrees in study areas including engineering, economics and business, and mathematical and computer sciences.

There are many clubs and organizations including the Anime Club, the Mines Little theater,an Astronomy Club, the Blue Key, and the Campus Crusade for Christ. The students also publish a newspaper on campus called Oredigger. Cycling and mountain biking are both part of the athletics department of the Colorado School of Mines.
