Columbia College Chicago was established in 1890 as the speech and teaching college for women. It is located in the South Loop of Chicago, Illinois. In the 1950s, degree and certificate programs in television and other communication and media arts were offered by the school. Columbia College Chicago has several campuses including the Alexandroff Campus, Congress Campus, Wabash Campus and South Michigan Campus. The college is organized into the following academic divisions:

- School of Media Arts
Columbia College Chicago offers a number of extracurricular activities for its students.
