Overview

Columbia College is located in Sonora, California, United states. It was founded in September 1968 as Columbia Junior College. It settled on its current name in 1978. Columbia College's campus spreads across an area of more than 250 acres of forestland in Sonora. The campus is also home to several species of trees and birds. The college offers various associate degrees and approximately 56 certificate programs in diverse areas of study and is organized into a number of academic divisions.

Columbia College competes in the Central Valley Conference and is a member of the Community College League of California. Their sports teams participate in a wide variety of sports including men’s basketball, women’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s cross country.

All students of Columbia College are members of the Associated Students of Columbia College. The Student Senate represents the voice of the students and governs all other student clubs and organizations.
