The Columbia Theological Seminary is located in Decatur, Georgia. Presbyterian ministers established the seminary in Lexington, Georgia in 1828. In 1830, it was shifted to Columbia, South Carolina, and finally moved to its current location in 1920. The institute confers several master’s and doctoral degrees in areas of study like philosophy, divinity and theological studies, among others. The seminary also offers an international program, which is comprised of Middle East seminars, internships and trips to Taize, Geneva, Rome, Assisi and Turkey.
The Columbia Theological Seminary houses organizations such as the Student Coordinating Council. The institute offers job placements and financial aid to students.
