Overview

Columbus State Community College, or CSCC, was originally founded in Columbus, Ohio, as Columbus Technical Institute in 1963. The college enrolls more than 20,000 students. CSCC offers career programs in more than 50 areas of study such as business, health, and engineering technologies. It also offers transfer programs for students interested in completing the first two years of a bachelor degree and then transferring to a four-year university.

The main campus of CSCC is spread across an area of 80 acres and is located near downtown Columbus, Ohio. There are over 25 buildings on the campus. Columbus State also runs several off-campus centers in the suburban neighborhoods of Groveport, Marysville, Dublin, Gahanna, Westerville, Grandview, Grove City, Delaware, and southeast and southwest Columbus.

Cougar News is the student-run newspaper of CSCC. Their sports teams are nicknamed the Cougars. They compete at the NJCAA Division II level.
