Overview
Community College of Denver, also known as CCD, is a community college located in Denver, Colorado, United States. It was established in 1967. The main campus is Auraria Campus which has five branch campuses: East, Lowry, North, Parkway, and SouthWest. The main focus of CCD is underserved, first-generation, and minority students. As of 2006, nearly 60% of CCD students were first-generation and 50% qualified for financial aid.
CCD enrolls more than 13,000 students each term. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. There are several student-run clubs and organizations on campus. They are categorized into the cultural & recreational clubs, academic organizations, service clubs, and student government.
