Overview

Community College of Rhode Island, also known as CCRI, is the only community college in Rhode Island, United States. It was founded as Rhode Island Junior College (RIJC) in 1964. CCRI's initially enrollment consisted of 325 students. Today, CCRI consists of more than five campuses and enrolls over 16,000 students across the state. CCRI is currently the largest community college in New England. The different campuses are:

  • Knight Campus (Warwick)
  • Liston Campus (Providence)
  • Newport County Campus (Newport)
  • Satellite Campus-Westerly High School (Westerly)

CCRI offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse fields of study. Some of the degrees it grants are associate in arts (A.A.), associate in science (A.S.), associate in applied science (A.A.S.), associate in applied science in technical studies (A.A.S.-T.S.), and associate in fine arts (A.F.A.).
