Overview

Concord University is located in Athens, West Virginia, United States. It was founded in the year 1872. The university has another campus located in Beckley, Raleigh County. It gained university status in 2004. The degree-granting academic divisions of the university are:

Concord University supports a large number of student clubs and organizations. The students publish an on-campus newspaper called "The Concordian." They also operate a radio station known as WCUR, and a TV station called WMLT.

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for major sports.
