Overview

Concordia University Chicago, also referred to as CUC, is a privately-run, Lutheran liberal arts university situated near River Forest, Illinois, United States. CUC was originally established as a private teachers' seminary in 1854 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was moved to its current location in 1913. The institute went through quite a few name changes and was finally named Concordia University Chicago in 2006. Unofficially, it is often referred to as Concordia University River Forest. The university campus stretches over nearly 40 acres of suburban land. It grants admission to more than 4,000 students annually.
