Overview

Concordia University was founded in 1881 as Concordia College. The main campus is spread across an area of more than 190 acres on the shores of Lake Michigan in Mequon, Wisconsin. In addition, CUW has several education centers located in Appleton, New Orleans, Milwaukee, Beloit, Indianapolis, St. Louis County, Hales Corners, Fort Wayne, Kenosha, Wausau, Green Bay, Milwaukee South and Madison.

CUW attracts students from more than 25 foreign countries and offers a variety of degrees and certificate programs in diverse areas of study. The university is home to a number of student publications. The Concordia Beacon was founded in 1984 and is the official student newspaper of the university.

CUW has also recognized several student clubs and organizations, such as the Association of Concordia Theatre, Alpha Chi, Business Club, International Club, National Art Education Association, Pre-Sem Student Association, Psych Club, Student Nurse Association, Sign Language Club, Yoga Club and the Student Social Work Organization.
