Overview

Copper Mountain Community College, also known as CMCC, is located in Joshua Tree, California, United States. It was established in the year 1966. The first classes were held in the fall of 1967 with 60 students. In its initial years, classes were offered at Twentynine Palms High School. CMCC offers a wide variety of degree programs in more than 20 fields of study. The college currently enrolls approximately 6,000 students annually.

CMCC is organized into various academic departments. The college offers several scholarships including the CMCC Foundation Full-Time Alumni Scholarship, Community Foundation Scholarship, Jim Brulte Social Science Scholarship, Ángela Ramírez Scholarship, J. Neil Hastings Perpetual Scholarship, and Schools First Federal Credit Union Scholarship, among others.

Copper Mountain Community College supports many student clubs and organizations including the Christian Club, History Club, Creative Writing & Literary Society, and Associated Students of Copper Mountain Community College.
