Overview

Corban University, until recently known as Corban College, was originally established as a Bible institute in 1935 in Phoenix, Arizona. It shifted to California in 1946, and was renamed Western Baptist Bible College. It again moved in 1969, this time to Oregon, where it operates today as a private and independent Baptist university. The college was named Corban College in 2005 and then changed to Corban University a few years later.

The campus of Corban University is based on the outskirts of Salem, Oregon. Altogether, the institution owns nearly 100 acres of land in the area. Students are offered graduate degree programs in counseling, education and business.

Corban University is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and it sponsors 13 athletic teams in sports like baseball, volleyball, softball, golf, cross country, and track & field. The university's athletic teams are nicknamed the Warriors.

Corban provides on-campus housing for 538 of its 945 (full-time) students (as of 2009-2010). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.
