Cowley County Community College

Cowley County Community College is also referred to as Cowley College, and is located in Arkansas City, Kansas. Established in 1922, Cowley College was originally named as Arkansas City Junior College (ACJC). This two-year college offers more than 70 degree programs, distance-learning classes, e-learning and certificate courses in subjects which include journalism, criminal justice, liberal arts and natural science.

The college campus has several student clubs and organizations including the Chess Club, Creative Claws, the Journalism Club, the Art and Design Club and Act One Drama Club. The students participate in various sports such as tennis, basketball and soccer.
