Overview

Lester L. Cox College of Nursing and Health Science at Springfield, Missouri was originally established in 1907 as the Burge Deaconess Training School for Nurses. After undergoing a few changes in name, it came to be known as Cox College, since 2008. It is a private college focusing on imparting education in the field of healthcare.

Cox College offers the students with associate’s, bachelor’s and certificate degree programs in a number of courses related to health services. Programs are offered in areas such as nursing, dietetic internship, medical transcription and medical billing/coding. The college also offers facilities of continuing education programs for students.

Cox College has an active student life comprising of student organizations such as National Student Nurses’ Association, Student government Association, and Ambassador Program. The college also offers the students with financial aid in the form of institutional scholarships.
