Cranbrook Academy of Art is a part of the Cranbrook Educational Community. Cranbrook Academy of Art was officially incorporated in 1932 and is located in Bloomfield Hill, Michigan. The academy was originally designed by Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen. The institute confers master’s degrees to students. Some of the degree programs on offer include graphic design, industrial design, architecture and photography.
Cranbrook Academy of Art encourages students to be a part of the Studio Council, a student organization. Students here can play in sports like cross country skiing in winter, swimming, soccer and baseball. The institute is home to several notable alumni like Marc Awodey, an artist and poet; Charles Eames, a designer; and Ralph Rapson, an architect.
