Creighton University

Creighton University was created in 1878 as the Creighton College. Its main campus is spread across an area of more than 120 acres just outside the downtown business district of Omaha, Nebraska. The university is a member of the Association of Jesuit Colleges. According to the U.S. News and World Report, Creighton Universities has consistently ranked number one in the category of best masters level universities in the Midwestern region. The university is organized into the following academic divisions:

Creighton University has an active Greek Life. Some of the fraternities and sororities of the university are Delta Zeta, Lambda Theta Nu, Gamma Phi Beta, Theta Phi Alpha, Pi Beta Phi, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Phi Delta Theta and Phi Kappa Psi.

The sports teams of Creighton University take part in the NCAA Division I's Missouri Valley Conference. Its sports teams are known as the Bluejays. The sports teams include basketball, soccer, baseball, football, softball, tennis, volleyball, golf and cross country.

Housing and Meals

Creighton provides on-campus housing for 2,385 of its 6,563 (full-time) students (as of 2007). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.
