CUNY Borough Of Manhattan Community College

Borough of Manhattan Community College was established in 1963. The college is also known as BMCC and is part of the City University of New York, or CUNY, system. The college offers a number of associate degrees and certificate programs. BMCC attracts students from more than 100 different countries. Some of the academic departments of BMCC are business management, multimedia programming and design, engineering science and computer programming.

BMCC has a number of athletic teams that participate in the local NCAA collegiate sports system. These teams participate in many sports including handball, baseball, bowling, basketball, and soccer. The women's basketball team has won many CUNY basketball championships as well as the regional Division III championships.

Some of BMCC's student clubs and organizations are the Accounting Club, Non-traditional Career Society, Life Drawing Club, Dominican Students Association, and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
