Overview

Hostos Community college, also known as HCC, is situated in New York. It was established in 1968 by the State Board of Higher Education to mainly serve the Hispanic community. It started with a batch of 623 students and by 1974, it had an enrollment of more than 2,000 students. HCC offers associate’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.

The student body at HCC contains more than 80% Hispanic students. HCC has an active student life, which offers the students the opportunity to participate in a number of extracurricular activities. It is home to various registered clubs and organizations, which are divided into different groups such as the Academic Clubs, the Cultural/ Ethnic Clubs, the Religious Clubs, and the Special Interest Clubs.
