Queensborough Community College, also known as Qcc, was established in 1999. The college is part of the CUNY (City University of New York) system. QCC campus covers more than 30 acres in Bayside, New York, and features ten major buildings. The college offers numerous associate degrees as well as continuing education programs. Some of the academic departments of QCC are electrical and computer engineering technology, foreign languages and literatures, and biological sciences and geology.
QCC has an active Greek life. Some of the Greek organizations are the Alpha Beta Gamma, Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Gamma Sigma, and Tau Alpha Pi. In addition, QCC has several other student organizations including the International Business Club, Foreign Language Society, College Discovery Club, Student Publication Club, International Student Club, and many more.
The athletic teams of QCC are known as the Tigers. They participate in men’s and women’s basketball, swimming, cross country and indoor track.
