Dallas Theological Seminary, also known as DTS, is a theological seminary located in Dallas, Texas, United states. It also operates campuses at Tampa, San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and Atlanta. DTS was founded as Evangelical Theological College by Dr. Lewis Sperry Chafer in 1924. DTS has a number of academic departments in various fields. Some of these departments are Biblical Counseling, Biblical Exposition, Christian Education, Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.), New Testament Studies, Old Testament Studies, and Theological Studies.
Many opportunities are available to the students of DTS that allow them to participate in activities outside the classroom. The students are involved in a variety of clubs and organizations including the Spiritual Life Board, Black Student Fellowship, Jot & Tittle Student Newspaper, Seminary Wives in Ministry, Student Missions Fellowship, International Student Fellowship Council, The Couch Counseling, and Archaeology Research Group.
