Overview

Dana College is a private, non-profit baccalaureate college in Blair, Nebraska that was founded by Danish pioneers in 1884. It started as a preparatory school. The college, which sits on 150 acres, provides bachelor degrees in English, chemistry, history, accounting, and music among others.

Dana College has numerous on-campus clubs and organizations including the Music Educators National Conference, the Student Education Association, Social Awareness Organization, Phi Alpha Chi (social work), and Alph Chi (honor society). The sports teams are nicknamed the Vikings. Some of the sports programs currently offered at Dana College include basketball, baseball, football, cross country, soccer, and wrestling. Mike Carubba, former CFL Quarterback; and Ben Henderson, a dynamic MMA fighter are some of the notable graduates of the college.

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Great Plains Athletic Conference for major sports.
