Dana College is a private, non-profit baccalaureate college in Blair, Nebraska that was founded by Danish pioneers in 1884. It started as a preparatory school. The college, which sits on 150 acres, provides bachelor degrees in English, chemistry, history, accounting, and music among others.
Dana College has numerous on-campus clubs and organizations including the Music Educators National Conference, the Student Education Association, Social Awareness Organization, Phi Alpha Chi (social work), and Alph Chi (honor society). The sports teams are nicknamed the Vikings. Some of the sports programs currently offered at Dana College include basketball, baseball, football, cross country, soccer, and wrestling. Mike Carubba, former CFL Quarterback; and Ben Henderson, a dynamic MMA fighter are some of the notable graduates of the college.

Housing and MealsDana provides on-campus housing for 558 of its 604 (full-time) students (as of 2008-2009). The school requires freshmen to live on campus. Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 19 meals weekly.
AthleticsSchool sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Great Plains Athletic Conference for major sports. The school offers financial aid for athletes. Of students receiving athletic financial aid, 77 male students received the aid (men were 66% of those receiving aid) and 40 women were awarded financial aid based on athletics (representing 34% of students receiving such aid) .
