Danville Area Community College

Danville Area Community College, also known as DACC, is located in Danville, Illinois, United States. It was founded in 1946 as an extension center of the University of Illinois. It was renamed to Danville Community College in 1949. In June 1966, the name was changed to Danville Junior College. On July 1, 1979, the college adopted its present name. The college campus is beautifully nestled in an area of around 75 acres in Danville. DACC offers an array of degrees and programs and is organized into several academic departments.

There are several student clubs and organizations at DACC including the Aristotle Club, Black Student Association, Christian Student Association, Phi Theta Kappa, Tae Kwon Do Club, Political Affairs Club, and Technology Club.

DACC participates in a wide variety of sports including men’s basketball, baseball, soccer, cross country, volleyball, and women’s basketball and softball. The college is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Their athletic teams are nicknamed the Jaguars.
