Dawson Community College (DCC) was founded in 1940, and is situated in Glendive, Montana. The college is a part of Montana University System in Eastern Montana. The college provides two-year associate's degree programs and one-year certificate programs to its students. DCC offers a variety of opportunities to the campus students. Student of the college may participate in extra-curricular activities, intercollegiate athletics, and student organizations. Some of the active clubs and organizations of the college include Law Enforcement Club, Phi Theta Kappa, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, and Pep Squad.
The college mascot is known as the Buccaneers. The sports teams of DCC participate in National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), Mon-Dak conference and in National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). DCC offers financial aid assistance to the students that includes tuition waivers, scholarships, loans, grants, and work study. Approximately 85% students of DCC are awarded financial aid.
