Overview

Daytona State College (DSC), formerly known as Daytona Beach Community College, is a four-year college located in Daytona Beach, Florida, United States. The college is noted for its photography and nursing programs. It also offers four-year bachelor degree programs in nursing and Management Information Services.

DSC is home of the renowned Southeast Museum of Photography. It is also involved in a joint-partnership program with Volusia County and Flagler County school districts, which is known as the Advanced Technology Center.

DSC has several athletic teams that participate in sports including softball, baseball, and golf. The women's golf teams are three time NJCAA National Champions. The college campus is home to various honorary organizations, special interest groups, service groups, and social clubs. Some notable alumni are Eric Breitenbach, famed American photographer; Joyce Cusack, member of the Florida House of representatives; and Richard Gibbs, American film composer and music producer.
