Des Moines Area Community College

The Des Moines Area Community College, also known as DMACC, is a community college in Iowa, United States. It was officially founded on March 18, 1966, and was designated as Merged Area XI. The campus is spread across an area of 6,560 square miles. DMACC is known for its programs in computing, nursing, and vocational training.

The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. DMACC is home to many clubs and organizations that assist in the overall development of students. Some of the clubs are the American Sign Language Club, Phi Theta Kappa, Environmental Conservation Club, and Medical Assistant.

DMACC’s student body has an impressive number of international students. The college's ISCAC (International) club provides various facilities and services to foreign students. The students also participate in various sports. The athletic teams are nicknamed the Bears.
