The DigiPen Institute of Technology was established in 1988 by Claude Comair in Vancouver, Canada but was relocated to its current location at Redmond, Washington in 1998. The college, also abbreviated as DP, has two campuses at Washington, the main campus and the art campus. Apart from these the college has two international branches at Beirut and Singapore.
DigiPen Institute of Technology offers the students with both undergraduate and graduate degree programs in areas such as computer science engineering, game design, and animation. The main focus of the college is on Real Time Interactive Simulation and 3D animations. The college has students from over 20 countries from all over the world and has an international student affairs body for assistance.
DigiPen Institute of Technology has an active student life consisting of various organizations and clubs such as music club, graphics club, chess club, smash club, art student council and student association.
