Doane College

Doane College is located in Crete, Nebraska, United States. It was established in the year 1872. This college is considered to be the first liberal arts and sciences college in the state of Nebraska. Doane College has two other campuses located in Grand Island and Lincoln. The college offers various academic programs in subjects such as accounting, education, information science and technology, journalism, and political science.

Doane College is home to more than 60 student clubs and organizations. These include the Campus Crusade for Christ, Club Internationale, Doane Republicans, and Students for Change. The college also supports Greek fraternities and sororities such as Delta Kappa Pi, Sigma Phi Theta, Tau Sigma Zeta, Greek Council, Alpha Pi Epsilon, and Alpha Omega.

Housing and Meals

Doane provides on-campus housing for 92 of its 914 (full-time) students (as of 2007). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Doane Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. Doane is in the Great Plains Athletic Conference for major sports.
