Dominican University of California, also known as DU, is a private university located in San Rafael, California, United States. It was established in the year 1890. The university offers a wide variety of subjects, internships, and honors programs in diverse areas of study. U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks Dominican University in the top tier of "Western Universities-Masters."

Dominican University of California has an active student life. The campus is home to several student clubs and organizations. Some of the university's major clubs and organizations are Alpha Chi, Alpha Lambda Delta, Beta Beta Beta and Sigma Theta Tau. DU’s sports teams are nicknamed the Penguins.
